Express Foie Gras in the Microwave & Gourmet Toasts

Ingredient

  • Season the foie gras:
    Generously season the foie gras with salt and pepper. Add a touch of four-spice or mild paprika for extra flavour. If desired, drizzle with Port or Cognac.
  • Cook in the microwave:
    Place the foie gras in a microwave-safe dish with a lid. Cook for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes at 900W.
  • Let it rest:
    Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the texture firms up and the flavours develop.
  • Serve:
    Slice the foie gras into thin portions and serve on toasted bread, accompanied by a arugula salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. Enjoy immediately.
